Dr. Zainab Marwa is a member of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), representing the North-East geopolitical zone. She was nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu pursuant to Section 2(2) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment) Act, and her appointment was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, following an open legislative screening of her competence, integrity, and experience.

Dr. Marwa is a Barrister and management consultant with experience in service management, policy development, and organisational transformation. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Zawram Consulting Limited and is a Partner at Arinze Mba & Associates (Deiz Attorneys), where she maintains an active legal practice. Her professional work has focused on strengthening governance, institutional capacity, and public service delivery.

Dr. Marwa holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Nasarawa State University, a Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification from the Nigerian Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) and a Master of Science in Service Management, both from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. She has furthered her professional development through executive programmes at leading global institutions, including Evidence in Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, and Strategy Execution at the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University.

Beyond her professional and governance work, Dr. Marwa is the Founder and President of the Aspire Women Forum, a non-profit organisation focused on women's empowerment through coaching, mentorship, and community-based initiatives. She is a committed advocate for gender equity and sustainable development.

As a member of the NDDC Governing Board, Dr. Marwa brings to the Commission a combination of legal expertise, strategic acumen, and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive development. She continues to advocate for policies and interventions that reflect the needs of the communities she serves, and for governance practices grounded in transparency, evidence, and measurable impact.
