Engr. Emeka Ani is a distinguished engineering professional with over three decades of outstanding experience spanning engineering design, construction, research, development, and project management. A strategic thinker, accomplished administrator, and result-driven leader, he has built an enviable career across diverse sectors, including energy, civil infrastructure, telecommunications, marine services, and information technology.

He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Degree in Electrical Engineering with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1994. In pursuit of further professional development, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Oil and Gas Management from Middlesex University, London.

Engr. Ani is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (FNIEEE), and Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Highway and Transport Engineers (FNIHTE). He is also a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (MIEEE), New Jersey, USA, and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Throughout his illustrious career, he has participated in numerous professional trainings, conferences, and capacity-building programmes across the globe. These include leadership and executive management programmes at Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA, and the Lagos Business School, Nigeria. He has also undertaken specialized technical training in Romania, Austria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, China, and the United States, covering areas such as power transmission systems, transformer technology, high-voltage equipment testing, gas turbine operations, sustainable business practices, and oil field operations.

In recognition of his extensive professional accomplishments and practical contributions to engineering and development, the City University of Paris awarded him a Professional Doctorate Degree through the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) programme during a ceremony held at the House of Lords, Westminster, London.

Engr. Ani has successfully managed and supervised thousands of development projects across the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. His contributions have significantly impacted critical sectors including power and energy, civil infrastructure, marine services, security systems, and information technology. He is widely respected for championing innovative initiatives and providing strategic solutions to complex developmental challenges.

Within the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), he has served in several key leadership positions, including Director, Special Duties; Director, Technical Services, Office of the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; and currently serves as Director, Information Technology and Innovation, where he continues to drive digital transformation and technological advancement within the Commission.
