Chidi Nwankwo was born into the family of Elder Monday Nwankwo  and Mrs.  Happiness Nwankwo of Umuodiri Community in Omuma LGA,  Rivers State.

He is a Chartered Accountant and currently the Director, Public Private Partnership in the Niger Delta Development Commission. He has special interest in the field of accounting and law, pursuant to this desire, he obtained a B. Sc, MBA in accounting and LL. B, LL.M in law.

He joined the Oil Mineral Producing  Areas Development Commission (OMPADEC) in may1995 as accountant II, later transferred to the Audit Department as Auditor II .He rose to the position of Zonal Auditor-  Bayelsa State office. In 2001 his service was transferred to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) where he rose to the  position of Zonal Accountant- Rivers State office,  Deputy Director- Finance and Supply Headquarters, Director in the Cross Rivers State Office until his current position as Director,  Public Private Partnership.

He also served as the Secretary of the Anti-corruption Transparency Unit (ACTU)) of the Commission.

Mr. Chidi Nwankwo, apart from being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, is also a member of the Certified Fraud Examiners and Nigerian Institute of Management.

He has attended many professional training in key institutions, including the Lagos Business School and the Harvard  Business school,  Boston USA.

He is married to Pharm. Chikaodili  Nwankwo and blessed with four children.
