Salami, Olaniyi Okogie. Esq is a seasoned administrator, corporate governance practitioner, and development professional with over three decades of experience spanning agricultural extension, human resource management, public administration, corporate governance, and community development.

He holds a Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric. Hons.) degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Throughout his distinguished career, he has complemented his academic qualifications with numerous professional development programmes in leadership, management, industrial relations, conflict resolution, procurement processes, organizational development, and strategic administration from reputable institutions including the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Lagos Business School, Centre for Management Development (CMD), National Productivity Centre (NPC), and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

He began his professional career with the Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) in 1991 before joining Pamol (Nigeria) Limited, a subsidiary of Dunlop Nigeria Plc, where he served in various management and administrative capacities from 1992 to 2003. 

In 2004, he joined the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), where he steadily rose through the ranks from Principal Manager to Senior Manager, Assistant Director, Deputy Director, and Director. Over the years, he has served in several strategic leadership positions, including Director, Ondo State Office; Director, Administration; Director, Corporate Governance; and Director, Youths, Sports, Culture and Women Affairs. Through these roles, he has provided leadership in policy implementation, corporate governance, human resource management, stakeholder engagement, youth and women development programmes, and institutional administration.

A passionate advocate of sustainable development and community empowerment, he has participated in and facilitated numerous programmes on agricultural productivity, rural transformation, conflict management, peace building, youth restiveness, cooperative development, and environmental sustainability in the Niger Delta region.

An accomplished scholar, he has authored several research papers and seminar presentations in the fields of agricultural extension, rural sociology, community development, and organizational management. His notable works include Farmers' Group: A Tool for Rural Transformation; Choice of Methods of Farmer Contact: The Farmers' Group Approach; Towards Effective Communication in Farmers' Organizations; Focus of Community Development; and Patterns of Organizational Behaviour.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria. He is also a member of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN).
