Mrs. Anthonia Akpan holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A) in Philosophy. She has many years of experience in the public service spanning through Public Affairs, Training and Man Power, Education Health and Social Services, Human Resources and Administration, Youth, Sports, Culture & Women Affairs. She is presently the Director of Environmental Protection and Control in Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Mrs. Akpan is a proactive team leader with effective communication skills and has strong leadership qualities. She has attended many Management and Leadership workshops and trainings in Nigeria and overseas.

She is married to Engr. Peter Akpan and the marriage is blessed with children.

She is a member of the Institute of Strategic Management (ISMN), Society of 

Ergonomics of Nigeria (SEN), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and Nigeria Institute of Personnel Management (IPM)

Mrs. Akpan hails from Ikot Abasi Akpan in Mkpat Enin L. G. A of Akwa Ibom State.
