Engr. Alamieyeseigha S. Godknows, FNSE, FNIHTE, was born on November 23, 1969, in Amassoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. A seasoned engineer, administrator, and development professional, he has built a distinguished career spanning engineering, project management, infrastructure development, and public service.

His educational journey began at Army Day Secondary School, Jos, Plateau State, before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Amassoma, where he obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC). He later earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, and subsequently obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Structural Engineering from the same institution. In further pursuit of professional excellence, he acquired an Executive Master's Degree in Corporate Governance and Leadership from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Engineering at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.

Engr. Alamieyeseigha is a highly respected member of several professional bodies and institutes. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Highway and Transport Engineers (FNIHTE), and Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria. He is also a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), a member of Nigeria’s Construction Industry Hall of Fame, and a member of the Port Harcourt Polo Club. In recognition of his commitment to peacebuilding and youth development, he serves as a Youth Ambassador for Peace under the Universal Peace Federation and Youth Federation for World Peace.

Before joining the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Alamieyeseigha gained valuable industry experience with Keystone Oil & Gas Services Limited, Akpos Nigeria Limited, Global Marine Engineering Company Limited, and Maxwell Electrical Engineering Company Limited.

He joined the Niger Delta Development Commission in 2004 as a Manager and has steadily risen through the ranks to become a Director. He currently serves as Director, Bayelsa State Office, where he oversees the implementation of the Commission’s development initiatives within the state.

Over the years, he has acquired extensive experience across several directorates and departments of the Commission, working in critical areas such as Buildings, Highways, Waterways, Canalization, Shore Protection, Erosion Control, Water Supply, and Infrastructure Development. His responsibilities have included project planning and development, contract administration, tender evaluation, cost estimation, consultant fee assessment, variation claim processing, technical advisory services, and project monitoring across the nine mandate states of the NDDC.

His commitment to continuous professional development is reflected in the numerous local and international courses, workshops, and seminars he has attended. These include training in Strategic Management, Advanced Project Management, Construction Cost Estimating, Cost Engineering, Project Planning and Control, Leadership and Corporate Governance, Conflict Management, Medium-Term Sector Strategies (MTSS), Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), Road and Bridge Design, Steel Structure Supervision, Operations Manual Implementation, Quality Management, AutoCAD and 3D ArchiCAD, among others.

Throughout his career, Engr. Alamieyeseigha has distinguished himself through professionalism, technical competence, integrity, and dedication to service. He is widely regarded for his humility, strong work ethic, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region.

Engr. Alamieyeseigha is happily married and blessed with children. His professional accomplishments, community engagements, and personal values continue to inspire colleagues and younger professionals alike.
